When a fiddle leaf fig arrives home
Leaf drop after delivery does not always mean poor care. Your plant has just gone through multiple environment changes and needs stabilization first.
The common mistake is stacking too many actions: repotting, moving, fertilizing, and changing watering rhythm all at once.
For the first two weeks: water less, move less, worry less.
Water based on dry soil, not anxiety. Keep one stable spot. Give the plant a short adaptation window before making aggressive corrections.
Once the plant settles, evaluate light quality and watering frequency with better signal and less noise.
